Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin. Its role is to help calcium get into your bones. It also keeps calcium out of your arteries. If you don’t have sufficient Vitamin K, your arteries harden. Your bones weaken. Potassium is a mineral and electrolyte. It helps keep your heart beating. It also helps your muscles to relax and tense. Without sufficient potassium, your heart goes haywire. Your muscles seize.

You need both. But you can’t use one for the other.
